Alicia Marie Hood of Mount Joy was found with "six acid tablets, methamphetamine, and a large pipe used for smoking methamphetamine" when officers arrived to investigate a call of drug activity at a home in the 500 block of Union School Road in Mount Joy Borough, as stated in a police release.
The home is by a large church in the borough according to Google Maps and the arrest happened on Sunday, although it is unclear if there was a service going on at the time of the incident.
Hood "punched an officer in the face during the arrest," the police said.
She's been charged with the following according to her latest court docket:
- Felony Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or causes serious bodily injury to designated individuals.
- Felony Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance by Person Not Registered (Two Counts).
- Misdemeanor Use or Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.
She has been held in the Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $20,000 in bail, her docket shows. Her preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Randall L. Miller at 9 a.m. on July 5, 2023, as detailed in her docket.
Hood has a criminal record for public drunkenness in 2018, driving under the influence in 2018 and 2021, and making repairs or selling weapons in 2021, according to previous court dockets. She was on probation for the weapons charge at the time of this most recent arrest.
